sparrows silented, laryngitis clots

jelly leaking holes
jammy agape new mouths leaking horror

the same piano line screeches thinly
and tinnily for the thousandth time
entire days fall away
wall-staring on the vacant crisis line

miss take misspeaks
a missile hurled from fanged peaks
let them dismember the scapegoated poor
the luxuriants can stay safely ignored

silouhetted skyline of broken buildings
jutting like jagged gnashing teeth
the hungry broken city swallows everyone
and sluices digestive juice at me

im a mote a speck of dust

every pace forward crushes a mouses spine
leeches coiled round gums die with each spoken line

we cant guillotine the responsible
theyve retreated to the lunar domes
robot police scoop out and mail our kidneys
we can only murder in our homes

sometimes I stare at the ground
and pretend im a speck of dirt
they will be watching and we will be dying
im an emotionless mote not inundated with hurt
